Country Music, Texas Spirit.

Our motto sums up Palo Duro Records: all-star musicians who showcase the unique style of country music that originates in the Lone Star State. From Eleven Hundred Springs - with their song Hank Williams wouldn't make it now in Nashville, Tennessee to the Gruene Hall attendance record-setting Two Tons of Steel, since 2001 our acts have brought the sound and feel of Texas to fans around the world.

Walt Wilkins, Tommy Alverson, The Derailers, Jon Christopher Davis, Ed Burleson, Dale Watson, Brian Burns, Darryl Lee Rush and Morrison-Williams round out our roster. Buzz Cason and  Trent Summar and the The Row Mob break us into new territory: they're based in Nashville. Summar, who has been called "The New King of Redneck Rock," fits right into the Palo Duro fold with songs such as Horseshoes & Hand Grenades.

"If you go to Nashville or even L.A., you'll find a lot of great talent sitting by the phone waiting for it to ring with a big deal," says Chris Thomas, Palo Duro founder. "In Texas, you find this attitude of, 'I'm gonna do it anyhow,' and you also find a lot of opportunities to play live right out the back door. Quite a few guys are doing well with nothing but a bull-in-a-China shop attitude of just making it happen no matter what."
