But in the best country tradition, this Texan throws those hard knocks into his music and learn from them in life. This collection of 14 mostly self-penned songs is the product of that determination, but Burleson made sure he thanked Sahm again for that Texas Tornado's personal and professional friendship. His homage comes via Sahm's own voice, which is heard counting out the intro to the previously recorded song, "Heart Break Highway". Burleson's life still isn't perfect - as if anyone's could be. But the real truth is, he's happy. And it's time for true country fans to know and experience the cold hard truth. Release Date: April 27, 2004 "pure, traditional country music"- Tom Geddie, No Depression "(Burleson is) hard country in the old style of ... Buck Owens, Ray Price (and) Johnny Bush."- Chris Morris, Billboard "Ed Burleson may be too country for Nashville, but not for Texas"- Rob Patterson, Dallas Observer
